Ecole Paul Dubrule: The first school in Cambodia to be partially powered by solar panels
The 2010 Hub Challenge goal was to install a 50m² grid-ties solar ARRAYS in Ecole d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, Siem Reap town. Its implementation has been successfully completed early December. A team of Hub Telecom professionals came especially from France to install the large solar system.

As for ourselves, Comin Khmere were in charge of the supply of equipments (28 solar modules of 200Wp and one grid-tie inverter) and the supervision of the installation of 50 m² of solar panels in the school’s front yard. The construction started on November 15th, and the project was inaugurated on November 25th. « Only 25% of the population in Cambodia is currently connected to an electrical distribution network. As nearly all energy is bought in from neighboring Thailand and Vietnam, the price per kilowatt hour is one of the highest in the world. Although there is not yet a policy of buying electricity produced by renewable resources, the challenge initiated by Hub Télécom is highly relevant to the situation in the country. »THEIR COMPUTER ROOM IS NOW FUNCTIONING WITH A 100% SUSTAINABLE ENERGY!
